I purchased the "new" item believing it to be "new" as advertised. The product's package was open in the shipping packaging. Thinking nothing of it, I attempted to use the product and my computer never recognized it. Instead of paying two or three times the cost of the item in shipping and handling charges, I went to the store and purchased a Targus one that works wonderfully and moved on lesson learned.
